I would like to know the SAT 1, GPA, SAT 2 scores of accpeted students in UCLA Nursing. Could you please share the info? Thanks!

UCLA does not publish detailed stats for freshman admission. The overall stats for all admitted freshmen for Fall 2010 is at http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Prospect/Adm_fr/Frosh_Prof10.htm. You can also find admission counts by college/division at http://www.aim.ucla.edu/admissions/admissions_college_FR.asp (but no stats).

I was admitted as a nursing major for this fall, here are my stats! Woo!

SAT: 2120
UW GPA: 3.9
UC GPA: Around a 4.3 I think, I’m way too lazy to figure it out again
US History SAT 2: 710
English SAT 2: 740

Work hard on your nursing application essay, they only accept 50 people and the essay (in my opinion) is what sets an applicant apart. Good luck! If you have any other specific questions, feel free to PM me.

I’m just curious, what’s the guy to girl ratio in the nursing program?

Thanks AskMsSun!

Kiley, what were other schools you applied?
I am incoming senior, so will need to apply UCs soon. Only UCI and UCLA have direct entry to BSN. Could you share your college list when you applied?

I’m not sure what the ratio is, but I’ve heard there’s about 3 or 4 guys entering into the program this year.

I also applied and was accepted to

UCI (nursing program + CHP)
CSU Long Beach (pre nursing)
Azusa Pacific (pre nursing)
Point Loma (pre nursing)

Unfortunately, not many schools have nursing programs, so it kind of cuts down the list. /:

what is CHP?

CHP: Campuswide Honors Program ([University of California, Irvine - Campuswide Honors Program](http://www.honors.uci.edu/))

@Kiley, whom did you ask for recommendations to UCI and UCLA nursing? Did you ask your academic teachers to fill out? The questions listed in UCLA supplementary is like: How well do you think the applicant has thought out his/her plans for a career in nursing? Please indicate any reservations you may have related to this applicant’s ability to succeed in a nursing career.

I had one filled out by an academic teacher, and one by a volunteer coordinator. I sent my personal statements and nursing essay to the people that wrote recommendations for me to give them a better idea of how devoted I am to the profession. If you’re not personally close with your chosen teacher/leader, it might be a good idea for you to do as well.

Thanks @Kiley
I called the volunteer service in the hospital I volunteer, they don’t fill out the school forms, they can only send their own letter with my hours.
