UCLA Off-Campus Apartments

Has anyone found an apartment for next year? If so, where and how much are you guys paying for rent?

I've been looking everywhere, but a lot of these places are so expensive.

As of right now, I really like the rochester, midvale plaza, the mission, and the plaza.

Are there any girls looking for a place to stay next year? I'm in need of a roomate to share a 2bd/2bath...

ahck, apt. hunting stinks.

The thing about Westwood… If you want to find an cheap(er) apartment, you have to go there yourself and look around. There’s a bunch of standalone apartments that have signs to call and all that good stuff. The only ones you’ll find online are the ‘mainstream’ (and more expensive) apartments that are funded by groups that manage more than one building.

Oh, and you can always check classifieds. I actually found my Westwood apartment last year via the Facebook marketplace app (go figure). You can check [Uloop - UCLA Classifieds - Jobs, Apartments, Textbooks, Carpools, Roommates, Tickets, Furniture, Scholarships, Travel](Resource Hub for UCLA Students | Uloop) too. Helps a lot.

I replied to one of the uloop ads and am going to be living in Midvale plaza next year.

It’s going to be $700 + utilities for me.

I’m going to pray I can get into one of the university apartments, otherwise I’ll be desperately looking for one.

What are the chances of getting a university apartment as a transfer, anyway?

Apparently, not very high because we are practically last priority. But I’m still going to hope.

Is it seriously that difficult?! Wow…I thought it was a done deal. Lol

Haha yeah. I think the best way is looking for a room/roommate instead of renting out a new place, even if it’s with friends. They can become your worst enemies during the process. Hahaha.

Well, I already applied for the university apartments, but if I get denied, I’m down to find an apartment with any of you that are looking.

[roommates - girls | Facebook](Facebook)

^ I’d totally be down to room with you if I already didn’t have a place.
Your description sounded like what I’d write lol.

Hopefully you live in Midvale Plaza too.

ditch your roomies and join me. i feel so desperate, it’s sad.

Honestly though, there will be the most opportunities (to find roommates) during summer session III. Right now, everyone is probably just looking for subletters during the summer.

i was able to find a place to sublet for session a and c… still nothing for the school year though… hopefully something will come up!

Why not on-campus? Just wondering

it’s more expensive $$$

Ya I will most likely be looking for a roommate too! The cost of living is what’s freaking my parents out the most…

We should start one of those ‘roommate’ discussions on our Facebook group for guys.

you should handle that.
