ಠ_ಠ “Decision: Accepted?”

Makin’ me scramble for my applicant ID to check if decisions were just posted… Curse you.

@msca2010: Accepted? What?

God…could there really only be SIX days left? Please tell me you’re relatively sure it’ll be on the 20th. Where did you guys get the date from?

I received a personal phone call for my program. I don’t know if official decisions are posted.

^^^ Troooooolllllllllllllllllllll trololololololololo

I was hoping other Film majors were here also and we could connect…sorry I posted my admission on a page specifically for UCLA admissions…

@uctransfer2012

Not necessarily trolling. The School of Theatre, Film, and Television is separate from L&S. The School of Arts and The School of TFT both have very different admissions processes from The College of L&S/Samueli and accept fewer students - it’s very possible that msca2010 received a call confirming their admission.

The School of TFT only admits about 50 students, FYI. They usually let them know individually, too. I think Arts/Architecture does the same thing.

@msca2010

Congrats on your admission!!! UCLA TFT is an amazing program, and I wish you the best of luck.

P.S. If you want, you should start a UCLA acceptance thread so other Film/Theatre/TV and Arts/Architecture majors can start posting their acceptances.

@asphyxiac
Thank you so much. Little annoying to find out incredible exciting news and be told I’m trolling…smh. Oh well. That’s a great idea. Thank you again :slight_smile: I’m thrilled. It’s my dream school and I’ve been working towards it since high school (the only accept Juniors in college)

@msca2010: With all due respect (and congratulations on your acceptance), how can you honestly be that surprised about everyone’s reaction to your initial post? You’re playing this out like you’re being victimized when you yourself are just as guilty for the misconception. Your situation/admission is a special circumstance that differs significantly from the standard applicants’ - of course people are going to look at you funny when you say you got in and the overwhelming majority won’t find out for another week.

If your post consisted of the information laid out by **asphyxiac<a href=“or%20a%20simple,” title=“my program finds out earlier than the rest of you guys”>/b, people would be congratulating you with Internet high-fives and not Internet pitchforks.

@msca
that is fantastic! they only took 19 transfers into the film department last year. you must have worked extremely hard to get accepted. good work!

FYI, I went to the arts and arch open house this past friday and the counselors that i talked to said that decisions would be sent out by the 20th. I also received this email about a question I sent to the admissions department:

http://i.imgur.com/LiNNa.png

I don’t think msca is ■■■■■■■■, I received a call from the art department as well, but unlike msca they just informed me that I passed the faculty portfolio screening. They actually said that it was illegal for them to say that we’d been “accepted” but to be very happy about passing the faculty review as it’s the hardest part of the art application process. That said, I’m waiting anxiously!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

WOW…The end of next week!!!
I can’t wait for that!!! The coming five days would be the longest five days in my life!!!

@bougiebouche Yes!!! We finally have confirmation from someone at UCLA! Thank you for sharing with us!

Omg omg I’m nervous! It’s going to be so hard to concentrate the next few days… thankfully I have family coming to visit to keep me occupied!

@bougiebouche what is your major?

@college4meuc

I’m an art major, pourquoi?

@bougiebouche very nice, I am a design media major. Nervous as hell.

Everyone else got that email about summer school, yes? I haven’t seen anyone mention it. It’s probably generic and I am probably reaching here…

@college4meuc coooool! did you go to the open house?
