Hopefully this thread will be useful for out of state UCLA applicants. Good luck and hope to see many future Bruins!

UCLA is a total reach for me. Probably not going to get in. Since they don’t take 7th semester senior grades, I’m completely relying on junior grades, which is not the greatest.
ACT: 25 (27 superscored)
Junior year GPA: 3.544— 3.38 unweighted
Senior year GPA (so far): 3.656— 3.4 unweighted
UC GPA: 3.38 (I wish I checked the website about gpa for OOS before I applied and sent in my non refundable application fee)
By time of graduation I would’ve taken 7 honors & 4 AP classes.
Rank: 100/288
Major: B.A. in Film & Television
Creative Writing: I thought it was one of my best works. Hopefully, it paid off.
Personal Essay: Idk yet I thought it was good.
If I ever got in then it would be because of my writing not my stats.
Sorry GPA mess up.
Cumulative at end of junior year was a 3.544, cumulative now is a 3.656.
Senior year Sem 1 GPA unweighted is a 3.85, weighted is 4.43

I’m from Florida too! But I applied for Aerospace Engineering. You never know, in just little over a month, you could be a Bruin!
Did you all see that the Board of Regents now says they are not going to give need based aid to OOS students starting this 2020 class…so anyone OOS applying and needing aid has to come up with a way to pay full fare.
