I'm debating between two very different schools, each with their pros and cons. I know which school I'm leaning towards, but it can easily go either way.

Major-UCLA; I'm planning to do Chemical Engineering with premed, but this is not set in stone.

Prestige-Equal

Cost-UCLA; Cheaper by about 5k

Housing-Notre Dame; I love the residential college system.

Atmosphere-Notre Dame

Location-UCLA

Social Scene-Equal; I know kids who are going to UCLA and the SoCal culture is more familiar. Plus, with such a big school, I don't think I'd have trouble finding a niche. But I like that ND is smaller and people are very friendly, even if there is not much to do.

Future Prospects-Equal; Both are good for grad school.

Research-Ehh equal? UCLA is renowned for research, but since ND is smaller, it may be easier to get a position.

Study Abroad-Notre Dame

Weather-lol UCLA

Campus-Notre Dame; UCLA is gorgeous, but ND is ND.

Notes-Both are known as "dream schools", so I'm fortunate enough to make this decision. I think that UCLA is a great fit for me academically, and it is the more practical choice, but I feel that Notre Dame offers a better college experience.

I'd like to hear some opinions. :)
