<p>UCLA’s surrounding area is not “Remotely nice.” haha. It’s Westwood. Have you heard of Westwood? Aside from student apartments there’s nothing but Mansions and a super expense country club surrounding the campus.</p>
<p>The way I would measure UCB vs. UCLA is establish my post undergraduate plans. Since I want to land in an ivy at some point in my life, I would look to see which of those two schools prepares me better for post grad, and which one is more likely to open lanes down two separate roads. Then you measure who is better at which road. If I want to continue school as far as I can go, which school can do that for me? Or you could go down the work road and ask which school can get you the better, higher paying job.</p>

<p>Personally, I’d pick UCLA. You might pick Berkeley. So what? It’s all up to each person.</p>
