Im hoping that i can get some feedback from people on this forum. Im new to this discussion board and im looking for some advice about transfering into a U.C.

My Situation:
Currently interested in transfering from a California Community College (peralta) to either UCLA or Berkeley.(aiming high!)

Preferences:

CAL- HASS school of business or E.E

UCLA- E.E
Im somewhat stuck in between choosing a major and im finding it increasingly difficult to buckle down on either for several reasons;

E.E.majors seem to work so hard in school and i feel like many students in this major often lack much personal life outside school. (maybe this just comes from reading too much discussions)

Im Interested in maybe pursuing a MBA (business) at some point and im not quite sure which major would better suit me for this transition.

GPA AND RECORDS!

U.C. transferable Courses GPA: 3.8
Commulative GPA : 3.2

U.C. transferable course units 32

Overall units - 120 ( I KNOW IM CRAZY! I was so confused in the beginning of college)

I think im a first generation going to college. (im still somewhat confused about what this means, my sister is 32 and she went to college and im 23??? help anyone??)

I read on the Berkeley website that they dont admit student who complete “access units” which is anything above 70 units (u.c. transferable). If i complete the engineering major requirements, by the time im done i will have done 93 units that are U.C. transferable

Can i still be a potential transfer student with this record?
Must all engineers live tirelessly thoughout the two years of college?
Am i considered a “first generation”?
All help is invited!!!
