SIR’s are due in like one day, and i still don’t know where to go. I got in UCB (spring for EECS - electrical engineering and computer science) and UCLA fall for biochem, but i probably will switch to EE as well. I also have carnegie mellon for ECE (electrical and comptuer engineering). I don’t know which one i should go still because i m afraid that i might get owned at Berkeley because it’s spring semester and I won’t know any body. However they are almost the best in that field. SUGGESTIONS>> plz thnx

UCB engineering hand down, this is what we are known for..

you too got deferred to spring? seems like a lot of the engineering applicants were deferred to spring.

I think you should consider the environment very heavily before making your decision.

EECS at Cal s better than EE at any other school except MIT. That's a remarkable achievement, considering that Cal is a stste school. EECS students and graduates are Berkeley are EXTREMELY well respected. So this is a no brainer decision.

even if you factor in location, berkeley still wins over this clearly. Berkeley is the obvious choice for almost all engineering major within the UC. I can only think of UCSD's BioE that is better in comparison.
