<p>sorry, mademB you are incorrect. A 3.7 at any UC will be competitive for med school, with the same mcat score. It will come down to ECs and recs. The real key is that a 3.3 from Cal will not supercede a 3.7 from Irvine.</p>
<p>Yeah... I head you need on average a 3.83-3.91 from Cal to get into a top 10 medical school.</p>
<p>Based solely on self-reported data that Cal publishes. Whether or not that is an accurate sample or not, nobody seems to have said one way or another.</p>
<p>But seriously, who cares if you go to a top 10 medical school? Talk to 99% of med students, and they'll tell you that they couldn't care less. They're gonna be doctors!</p>
