I have visited both campuses and am pretty much stuck now. Both seem to have excellent opportunities for internships and major related extracurricular, tons of cultural stuff, and a student body of fun, committed people.
So if anyone has any experience with both or one of these majors, first or second-hand, I would appreciate any insight into what people liked or disliked about each program.

I am not 100% sure what I want to do with the degree, so I'm also looking at variety of classes, but am having trouble finding where on their sites to find a complete list with descriptions, so any help there would be welcome also.

You can’t go wrong with either one. Both are excellent schools in nice areas.

UCLA, I woudl say. it doesn’t really matter though, they both have very similar programs but outside of the CS circle, UCLA will get you more prestige. In the CS circle, they are both equal. Maybe Berkeley, if you can get in???

Are you getting UCSD confused with San Diego St??? UCLA has triple the “fun” opportunities of UCSD… it is a primary, perhaps THE primary, differentiator between the two schools. How did you find that similar? DI Sports - football, basketball, Westwood within walking distance, all the performing arts at Royce Hall, etc. etc. etc.
