Hi everyone, I just got into UCLA and UCSD as a transfer student in political science. I plan on attending law school afterwards and cannot decide which school to attend. My plan was to go to Cal, but I didn't get in :(. Anyway, I've lived in Norcal my entire life and I love the San Diego area. However, UCLA is more recognized overall and ranks higher than UCSD. This is my dilemma: UCLA - more prestigious, more school spirit, better chances at getting into law school; UCSD - beautiful location, beach, may be able to concentrate on school more, not far behind in rankings from UCLA. I guess it comes down to which college will give me a better education, prepare me for law school, and most of all experience life and have fun during my last 2 years of school! Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

I’m in the same boat as you (poli sci, got into la and sd) and I would feel overwhelming confusion as to why someone would choose sd over la. Of course, i’m choosing la. Maybe if you decide to go you should drop me some messages and we’ll chill together, haha.
P.s. ucla will offer you a better experience overall in all your categories for sure.

Same boat as you two except I’m also in at ucb. I have no idea which to chose, I didn’t think I’d get into all these places to begin with.
