UCLA or USC?

LOL, binks. You’re at that age where it’s apparently not enough for you to rebel against your own parents, you come to the USC boards to rebel against other kids’ moms & dads.

Look, California is in a fiscal crisis. I wish the UCs were not going to be negatively affected, but from where I sit (I teach at UCLA) there is just no money and that means cuts in services, maintenance, facilities, faculty, etc. …plus hikes in fees. In other words, students will be paying more and getting less. When a student posts to the USC board on cc and asks USC or UCLA as OP did, it is completely relevant when posters respond as we have. Sorry if you don’t like the truth. Frankly, as it pertains to the UCs downward trajectory, neither do I.

I love USC moms.

madbean? Please tell me how I have rebelled… I tried to give as bias free, impartial, fair perception as possible in my original reply (I even stated I would go to USC over UCLA). So, I’m rebelling because I was trying to give someone advice?

Oh, and please don’t trivialize me as a “typical rebellious college student”. Hell, I ****ING HATE COLLEGE. I can’t wait to leave. It’s not UCLA, its college in general. I loved my summers getting up at 5AM, driving 45 mins to work watching the sun rise, working my ass off for 9 hours, then coming home at 430 and doing it again the next day. SOOOO much better then college. College lifestyle is way overhyped. I go home every-weekend and am glad I get the opportunity to go home and actually live.

^You accused people of name calling when you were the only one ****ed off an using language. And obviously, you didn’t sound like you favored USC equal to UCLA because everyone is accusing you of the opposite.
If you hate college, why would you be using a college forum site?
