why does it take so long? Any idea??

because they’re out of their FREAKING MINDS

They are just trying to give you more bang for your buck, so you don’t feel jipped out of the $150 or whatever you end up paying.

anyone plan on staying for the night?

i posted a question like this on ucla’s facebook page, somebody messaged me and this is what they said:

I saw your post about orientation and I thought I would offer you information since its really hard to get out of people, haha. I stayed over the night before mine… I left the dorm at 6am and didn’t get in my car to go home until 10:30pm… It was pretty brutal. There’s an information meeting, a meeting with your undergrad counsellor, a meeting with a student advisor, lunch and dinner, and at the end of the day you register for classes. A lot of it is boring but you’re in a group with others in your major so there’s an opportunity to meet people. My roommate didn’t go and everything worked out for her but I did learn some useful information, plus you get a chance to get to know the campus. But, yeah, it is a longgggg day. Good luck!

nooooooooo. at least they feed you.
