UCLA Orientation Session 207 8-6-09

Anyone going? It's so late haha... I'm so worried about not getting the classes that I want. Anyone know how long making your schedule takes? My friend told me it took him 5-6 hours. practically the entire orientation.

Wow, I didn’t know that there were still some orientation sessions going on…

A lot of the classes have been filled, so a majority of your time is devoted to choosing a couple classes that will fit into a reasonable schedule. In the early afternoon you’ll meet with your department counselor and orientation counselor to help give you a general outline of which classes to choose, and from then until around 7pm you’ll have a chance to actually look up which classes are available. At 8pm you can finally register for these classes with your orientation counselor.

P.S. Other than signing in and picking up a BruinCard, the activities in the morning are total BS.

Exactly. I didn’t even go to these afternoon workshops…but rather took some nap in the powell library…

Rofl… Yeah, everything was pretty much a waste of time AND MONEY. $100+ for THIS!!!

I could’ve done all of this myself. I got lost so many times. I actually sat through 15 minutes of one of the BS workshops, so totally not worth it.

Still got my schedule & classes done. Taking the most random class ever–Chicano Film Studies… because it was available and fit. Ugh.
