It's going to take me like 40 minutes to get there... christ... people who previously attended, is it really that much better to get there at 7:30 or can I swing by at like 10:30? I do not fancy more than 12 hours of being orientated towards anything. And is it just non-stop stuff or can I leave for awhile and do my own thing?

It says you have to be there by 1, so I’ll try not to cut it close and aim for arriving at 11:30-12. But yeah, I went to Calso last year, and it was horrible. So pointless and boring, just need to register for classes. Speaking of that, does anyone know what sort of unit cap there is on registering tomorrow?

ill be there by 730 am, just cus I’m paying for it lol. Why cant they just let us register for the classes first so we can stop stressing about it? sigh… excited though :)

yes… basically, orientation is the where you can reg for classes, besides that, you gotta meet your major ppl… N yes, nobody wanna stay there for the whole day… but seems to me, it says clearly that the class reg time is around 9pm. (DPR)

i think it will be fun meeting new people and talking to counselors and the tour guide ppl talking crap about usc lol. One full day is not gonna kill you people

I expect a full report by Wednesday, so I’ll know what to expect when I go on Thursday.
Or at least a partial report that tells me it’s OK to show up around 10:00.

any idea what the schedule is gonna be like? dont wanna be listening to a ‘welcome to ucla… we have a lot of great research opportunities’ speech for 12+ hours

There’s no safer place to wear your Bruin gear than the UCLA campus. 99% of people who decided to attend went out and got some kinda UCLA apparel as soon as they submitted their SIR. I’m part of the 1%, and that’s only because I’m lazy. I’ll probably buy something when I’m at orientation.
