UCLA out of state chances, s'il vous plait?

UCLA has been my dream school since 7th grade and now I'm a junior in high school. As I look at grades of people who attend their, the more I realize how slim my chances are. Everyone is Valedictorian with 4.0 GPAs and 2300 SAT scores. This is me:
Female, attends public school in NJ
3.75 GPA (I'm trying to improve it this year)
Decent selection of extracurriculars (varsity sports, clubs, volunteering)
I'm in Business Honor Society and French Honor Society....applying for National Honor Society this year and may be in History Honor Society.
My ranking hasn't been published yet but it's probably not that good because people in easy classes have better GPAs and are ranked above me. I am in the top 25% as of the ranking I got at the end of the first quarter of my sophomore.
Aiming for above a 2000 on my SATs by the end of the year

Classes this year:
AP HISTORY
AP LANG
PRECALC
COLLEGE ACCOUNTING
PHYSICS
FRENCH 4 H
BUSINESS WEB PAGE DVLPMT

I want to study Business/Economics (obviously I choose the most competitive major :p )

Other: My dads best friend works business wise with admissions at UCLA and could maybe help with reccomending me but idk what else I got. I'm average.
***I definatly want to go to school in somewhere warm. Other places I will apply to will be USC, UCSB, UT Austin, University of Florida, UWis Madison (not warm but I love that place), etc. You can reccomend some colleges to apply to (I need it to be D1, relatively warm (not too harsh weather), and good sports).

SO WHAT ARE MY CHANCES AND WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
If you need any more info let me know.

You know it’s expensive, right? In California we call it the “sunshine” tax. OOS students don’t get much in the way of financial aid-mostly loans, because the state is broke. Before you apply, are you prepared for those rates?

I would worry FIRST, about paying your way before applying because when you get accepted, your FA package comes within the same week and everything hits the fan because it is expensive.

RE: UCLA, honestly you are reaching, but because you are OOS and paying full fees, you might get in because they need your money. DD was 4.4, in-state, and didn’t get in and she was URM with boatload of ec’s and sports and biotech internship. But about 20 kids from her school got in with similar stats. She is however, very happy to be starting Davis next week: Loves the school and didn’t think she would!

USC is an extreme reach-they are very exclusive now. They admitted our “medical school” kids.

Merced and Riverside may admit you. Anything in Texas is good, but the public colleges are harder to get into because they are reserving spaces for In-state students.

It really all depends on your SAT, in which you need to do extremely well, and your gpa and a special ec that helps you stand out. The rigor of your coursework will help you because those vocational ed students with perfect 4.0’s aren’t on your level-no malicious intent meant towards your classmates. Get high AP scores and it will show what kind of a student you are.
