I have a question about the pre requisites for ucla philosophy. I'm a transfer and I will be attending in Fall (Turned down UCB!!). At my CC i was able to complete 2 of the pre-req courses (thats all they offered). So I wanted to ask if i have to complete all pre reqs before i can take upper divinson, or can i just start taking upper as soon as i go?

thanks for the help!

You can take upper divs without completing the “preparation for the major”

prereqs can be waived but they are advised. If you take an ethics class for example, you should at least have a basic notion of deontology and consequentialism; or if you take an epistemology class, you should have some idea of what skepticism is, etc.

Cool thanks a lot. I had one more question, how is the logic over there? That’s really what i want to focus on and i heard its pretty rigorous stuff
