Did anyone else get a call from 310-825-4321 today. I wasn't able to answer the phone, and they didn't leave a message. I tried calling back, but the machine said their offices were closed...

310-835-4321 is the main UCLA line. The call could’ve been from anyone on the UCLA campus.

Heh, i had the same thing happen to me from berkeley last year. pretty sure it was a call because i was a borderline case since they were asking for my grades. They called my dad and because of a series of unfortunate event, he wasn’t able to forward them my cell (which even if he did, i probably wouldn’t have answered since it was always on silent) ironically enough, i didn’t answer because i was out studying at the time. Ultimately i was rejected, but i SIRd to UCLA before i even knew, so meh.

Not sure if UCLA does the same thing, but i wouldn’t doubt it.

I’m not sure what number called me, but I did get a call from UCLA yesterday about orientation. They specifically said I couldn’t reach them on the number they called me, so I’m thinking that’s what happened to you.

If you are a targeted applicant – low income, AAP, URM (yes, AFTER ethnicity-blind admittance the school is allowed to look at the ethnicity you (voluntarily) filled out in the Federal Reporting page of the application…

You were probably the recipient of a call to encourage you to SIR

I am none of those things, and not rly borderline either: ACT:31 GPA 4.41 Rank:Top 8% plus unless white is urm Im not a targeted applicant plus I sent in my sir almost a month ago

Rustys209 is right; it’s probably a call from Orientation. They’ll call back, so just sit tight.
