UCLA--please say this will get me in!

<p>AHH! So, UCLA is my DREAM school. Literally, I have dreams about it. Haha. Well, with an ok profile yet really good extracurriculars, do u think i'll be accepted?? Any response is a good response!</p>

3.7 Unwieghted GPA (3.88 UC GPA)
1800/2400 SATs
applying as sociology major
pretty pretty good extra curriculars...
Girl Scouts - Since first grade, Silver award, now Gold award (as we speak) haha
Violin - Since first grade, selected for honors recital, taught lessons, first chair in school's ensemble
Founding President of Peace and Conflict Studies club at school
Community service through church at women's shelter- served dinners
art coordinator at sleep away family camp
worked as mass-mailings coordinator for various companies (mainly parents' friends haha)
mother's helper on sundays
first honor roll
scholar athlete</p>

<p>Thats not gonna get u to UCLA. I’m srry. Your GPA is too low. The average gpa for UCLA is around 4.1 and the SAT s around 2000 something. Your EC’s don’t have much significance or impressiveness. I’m gonna have to say UCI at best maybe.</p>

<p>^ I don’t agree with this guy. Yeah your gpa is lower, but that doesn’t mean your personal statement can’t make up for it. You seem to have a lot to draw from, so put a lot of energy/effort into the essays.</p>

<p>Perhaps take the SAT I again to get it to 2000+, and you’ll have a great chance. </p>

<p>UCLA admissions were always iffy though. Best of luck.</p>

<p>I’d say UCLA is a reach. The GPA is a bit weak, which is what’ll do you in, and the SAT doesn’t make up for it, or your ECs. If you write really great essays, you just might get in. Good luck.</p>

<p>Keep in mind, that UCLA has an average of above 2000 SAT and around 4.1 GPA.</p>

<p>This means that:
half are below that, half are above. Write a good personal statement and I think you have a good shot.</p>

<p>not to be rude or anything kevioke, but have you ever tried earning the highest award in girl scouting? its comparable to an eagle scout award.</p>

<p>You’re a reach. You should pull up your SAT to around 2000-2100 if possible.</p>
