Can you double major political science if you aren't transferring into that major specifically? I'd be a Japanese major, but I've completed a few of the pre-major courses, and I could probably get them all taken care of in summer.

you can declare poli-sci without transferring into the department after you do the preq

Prepolitical Science Major
All students intending to major in Political Science must enroll as Prepolitical Science majors. After completion of preparation for the major courses, they need to petition to enter the major in the Undergraduate Office, 4269A Bunche Hall.

awesome thanks [;

I was also able to eventually find this check list thing on the Pol Sci website:

http://www.polisci.ucla.edu/academic-personnel/PS_Check_Sheet.pdf
It says,

"You must complete all pre-major courses with a 2.0 grade point average.
Admission to the major is granted only after successful completion of all lower division
requirements by 135 units."

That should be okay for most transfer students then since we can only take 105 max quarter units over there anyways.

polisci requires you to be prepolisci first

. You are pre polisci until you finish the preqs to be poliscie
