UCLA quick question

just a quick question, is it better to apply under undeclared-humanities or history (pre)? i heard undeclared makes u seem like u dont' know what you want to do....but is history (pre) harder to get into because you have to meet preresequites or what does it mean when it says pre?

hi mrbrain23. i'm currently a 2nd year history major at ucla. i applied undeclared-social science just because i didn't understand what they meant by pre-history. everyone who wants to pursue a history major at ucla comes in as a pre-history major b/c there are about six classes that you must take before you are labeled as a history major. not a big deal. i'm sorry that i don't know how applying undeclared would affect your chances. i've heard that it doesn't :P

Yeah, I don't think applying undeclared hurts your chances. In fact, Berkeley and probably LA too encourage you to explore other fields before deciding on one and getting a degree in it.
