I know UCLA states that they "do not require or solicit letters of recommendation for undergraduate admission," but is it still POSSIBLE to send them in anyways?

I know they might require some when applying for scholarships, and such, but can I do it before I apply for scholarships anyways?

I mean, it’s not like the police will come arrest you if you try. But no admissions officer will ever see any letters you try to send, so it’d be a waste of time.

Rumor has it applications that include letters of recommendation are immediately tossed because someone who cannot follow directions to apply to UCLA surely shouldn’t be a student… jkjk
