UCLA Regents Invitation Notification

Has anyone heard if the scholarship committee will have access to our UC application?

Just curious if there are Regents invitee that were rejected. My D is an invitee and got accepted. This will help for future Regents invitee next year.

2018dad: how did your daughter check whether she got accepted. I got invited, and applied, but don’t know how to check!

Here’s how my daughter found out that she’s a Regent scholar:
Go to "Next Steps tor Admits:, then Admitted Checklist, click First Time Freshmen, Acticvate your logon id, then check FA/Scholarship.

Thank you!

Did your D fill out the FAFSA? Will it only show the decision if she filled this out?

Yes, we filled out FAFSA but were not qualified for any financial aid. All she got is the honorarium 2,000 per year for Regents. Not sure if it will not show if you didn’t file FAFSA. But it should because the list shows you the tuition, board&lodging and the rest (COA).

@2018dad where did you see this list that shows you tuition, board & lodging? when I click “view your financial aid provisional award letter” all that shows is the regents scholar letter and contract

I am a transfer student from Berkeley City College ( Peralta District in general). 4.0 GPA, certified EMT, political science with medical school requirements. I don’t qualify for financial aid apart from the couple K offered. Do I stand to gain from acceptance in future applications I may send out (med schoool) or is it really just about the financial aspect?

thanks

To clarify, UCLA offered me an invite

If you get the Regents scholarship, you can put it on your Medical school app. Not sure how much it will help you though. Aside from the 2K honorarium monetary award, you’ll get priority enrollment, guaranteed housing, guaranteed parking, etc.
