Ucla reiber vista plaza (double) or random hall (triple)?

Hi, my name is Eric. I'm an incoming freshman at UCLA... and I'm having trouble deciding where to live next year. As of right now, I'm assigned to a double in rieber vista (yes, i know thats pretty lucky for a freshman to get... idk how i got it). It would be nice to have that private bathroom and only one roommate... and an individual bed... I GUESS...

But here's the thing. I want the full college experience. I hear res halls are A LOT more social than res plazas, and that's what you should want as a freshman, right? Assuming I could switch into a random hall and get a triple... what should i do?

Stick with my double in rieber vista, where there may be an abundance of upperclassmen(because its a plaza) and construction right next door at rieber terrace, but it does have nicer facilities..... or switch to any random residential hall where i could be much more social and get that college experience i need as a freshman?

try the UCLA board

stick with the double…

Thanks guys- but what do you think? are there any ucla students that could give their advice? bump bump bump

Yep - I would try to make the switch, and it sounds like thats what you want to do anyway. I was assigned to a De Neve double as a freshman, but requested a change and got into Sproul - it was a good decision.

If you want the advice of UCLA students, you should post in the UCLA section of these forums.
