We have updated your application with this new information. There is no change in your admission status.

Sincerely,

UCLA Admissions

Reason(s):

Poor grades;Other;

lol.. now all I gotta do is remain at least 3.0 GPA for spring semester...

xD

Congrats!
Did you receive e-mail?

the decision page havn’t change back to congrats yet…

but I received an official email from one of those evaluator today… which is Abramson Sharon and she says that to me… besides there’s my information regards to the change form in the email as well.

there are different evaluators? socal, any chance u can tell us what change you made?

I reported 2 things…

reported as poor grade:
I got a C for cal III(5 units) and A(3units) for humanity at winter… ===> 2.75GPA ( my average was 3.52 when applying)

reported as class change:
on the UC update form, I put that I was going to take Econ 1B during summer, but I added into the class for spring…

guess I was kinda lucky…

btw… I submitted my SIR yesterday afternoon, and received this email today at 1:34 PM

Math econ major…

see there’s the evaluator section, which indicated which evaluator.
I donno if it’s the fact that I submitted my SIR yesterday… so they might thought… like, hmm… just ignore my changes…

xD

how is a C and an A a 2.75? does the number of units a class is worth have something to do with GPA?

yeah I thought that was a 3.0 …o.O

Calc: 5 units x 2.0 (C) = 10
Humanities: 3 units x 4.0 (A) = 12

10 + 12 = 22
22 / 8 units = 2.75 GPA

I’m bored in History of Photography :]

thats how it is done? i thought it was…

C=2
A=4 …4+2 then divide by 2= 3.00

according to [Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2009 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof09_mjr.htm), 4 out of 5 math/econ major applicants were accepted. i think i know all of them now…
me, socal1017, Loopinc, cr_book

they’re not done uploading the stats. theres no way there were only 5 that applied when 82 applied last year. Also, i was accepted to UCLA math/econ as well.

oh…didn’t know they’re not done yet. nd i don’t know how many applied last year… =)
Thanks Jet

yea, the math dept has a mess up on the profile of admitted students. math/econ and applied math usually get about 50-100 applicants each year and it says they got 5 and 1 respectively. on the other hand, math of computation usually gets about 2-5 applicants each year is reporting 118. hopefully they will fix this.

did they ask for a progress report?

nope. they didn’t ask me for anything…

anyone get the respond today? still waiting!!!
