UCLA - Reporting Changes

Guys,

I finally received my grade for my winter session course (long story), should I report the letter grade to UCLA or should I just wait it out now at this point? It technically bumps my gpa .2 points.

What do you think?

Sure, why not? I doubt it will make any substantial difference; however, it would not certainly not hurt. Just politely send an email informing them of your grades. Don’t include any kind of explanation though (i.e. extension of your personal statement); just a very brief statement of information.

I don’t think it will matter though, since UCLA does not, in general, solicit such grades unless specifically contacted and requested to do so. To be honest, I think it’s general practice to expect that future winter/spring grades will be as good, or better, than previous performances (when evaluating applicants). If they imagine you got a 4.0 for winter/spring grades, and you still don’t make the cut off, it doesn’t matter. If you’re borderline, and such progress would influence their decision, they would contact you.
