So I got a letter from someone at UCLA asking me to send my transcripts.

Anyone else?

u got a letter so not email? and where do u live?

Cool... how early did you reply?

Did they say why?

It was actually an email from somebody at admissions and they just asked me to submit my transcripts via email.

How you submit transcripts via email???

What major did you apply with? Maybe they ask for transcripts for everyone who applied in your major.

thats pretty odd..

It is. I've never heard about that happenning to any one of my friends. :P

this is an unusal situation because usually they ask for transcript after you get accepted..

As far as I know, there's a 10% chance random selection of application information verification. It's possible that you just fell into that. Just do what they ask you to do, it's no biggie and shouldn't make your chances any different than if you weren't requested it.

Someone posted earlier that the random verification period had already past. But I was thinking the same thing too.

What did the email say exactly?

And in regards to the random selection, that was done in early January and is done by the UCAP, not the individual campuses.

Would you copy-paste the email here? They don't usually ask for transcripts after you've been admitted, AND they say in the site to send them via post mail...

Sure it's not a prank someone's playing on you?

I don't know, but few of my friends who have been requested of transcript before being accepted, the reason given was that you are really at the borderline, so they would like to verify with your transcript before making the decision of accepting you or not.

nancie, what was their major/gpa?

2 of them is Business Economics
2 other i never ask >.>

they might have asked for transcripts because you put in your courses irregularly.

Did a "CCCT" symbol light up next to each of your courses when you put them in on the app?

I'm a philo major and my gpa barely qualifies for admission.

definitely not a prank, probably just grade verification. all my courses were ccct.

it just seemed odd since i hadn't heard anyone else mention it.

I think you're right. I'd love to stay in LA, but I didn't think I'd qualify.

We'll see.
