wow congrats! did u appeal, or what?!

congratz, you deserve it.

CONGRATS EMIL, what in the world HAPPENED???

Tell us your story…PLEASE!!! lol

Well I called UCLA multiple times. Every time I called I kept getting the, “UCLA psych is impacted and very competitive” which I already knew. Unfortunately, I wasn’t getting any specific information.

Then I called for a last time yesterday. A guy picked up and I told him that I want to write an appeal and gauge the best way to go about appealing. I told him that I had read over the website, but I wasn’t sure why I was rejected.

He then put me on hold to look over my app/transcript. When he returned, he told me that the bio course I had taken was not considered a prereq when my app was evaluated. On assist.org, it states that it is a prereq. I told him this, and he talked to others in admissions.

Today I received an e-mail saying my decision is reversed. Happiest moment that I can remember. I’m IN!!

Thank you guys.

Nic, its a sign!

that’s awesome! congrats!

That’s awesome man. Just goes to show how a little persistence and determination can make all the difference.

Congrats bro :)

It is a sign! haha I’m so excited now! I love UCLA. God, I’m pumped.

To my other appealers, definitely call until you get answers. Sometimes mistakes are made…especially when dealing with prereqs.

Thank you all! You guys are awesome lol.

omg EMIL!! Way to go dude! That’s AWESOME!

Yay! Congrats!!! (: You really deserved it, even if you don’t choose UCLA! xP!

Nice, congrats emil!

@ nicolles and Yunie: Thank you both SO much. I really appreciate it.

Did they also tell you over the phone that they would reverse your decision?? Or was it just the email and they left you hanging at the end of the call?

Dude this I hella exciting!
