<p>@ evan: Yeah, that’s a good question. I have confirmed with many people that I can switch. However, I’m still skeptical. I mean I want to be 100% assured that I can switch into psych at Cal. If I can’t, then I won’t go there. I want to major in what I love…and that’s psychology. This is why I’m excited I got into UCLA.</p>
<p>If what I’ve read and talked to people about is true, then I’ll hopefully go to Cal and switch majors. I don’t think I’ll be SIR-ing On The Spot (SOTS lol) to Cal anymore. I am going to call them, and e-mail the head of the psych department to clarify things. I would’ve applied to Cal psych, but I was missing 2 prereqs. That’s why I applied to philosophy. I was lucky in that apparently I should be able to switch majors.</p>
<p>I’ve heard that some transfers have been successful in this, and that others have not. I have a 4.0 in my psych prereqs, and have taken a bunch of psych classes. I’m hoping that these things combined with my prereq reason will be enough to sway them.</p>

<p>you’ll be able to switch. its actually really to change your majors as long as you got into L&S and finish prereqs by end of fall.</p>

<p>@ Jetforce: Thank you SOOO much! I actually hadn’t seen that. I had only seen the UCB psych website! That PDF explained everything. I really really thank you for that. I just didn’t want to risk not being able to switch. </p>
<p>Since it looks like I’ll be able to declare in the fall, if I get into UCB…I’ll probably have to go. The Psych Department is so great. </p>
