UCLA Reversed my Decision!!!

can i have the phone number for ucla undergrad # pls

@ spiderman: lol I posted it on page 3 I think :p. I actually have the number memorized now.

It’s (310) 825-3101

@ xelink: haha yes, I’m so bummed that you can’t ■■■■■ me now.

@ Vedanta: Hahaha aww awesome! I’m glad you guys are so supportive. CC love! Seriously, it was great seeing all of my CC buddies getting in, but I did feel left out. Glad I can finally join in :).

@ Dango: No. I did not have TAP :/. My CCC doesn’t offer it.

@ solidblu: DUDE! I know lol. I’m so excited. We went out to dinner tonight to celebrate. My Dad is in shock. He really thought I didn’t have a shot at UCLA or UCB…parents lol. It’s been a good day…

Too bad tomorrow I have a psych test, a speech to give, and go to school from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM :p. It’s all fine though, when I think about how lucky I was to have cleared things up. Alas, now you and I must pensively wait for Friday!

@ edelynly: LMAO! hahaha I will surely mention your name…err sn lol when I win. jk jk. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of us did go on to do amazing things in the world…whether they be philanthropic or nobel prize worthy. I’m sure we’ll all be successful :). Thank you so much for the support!

@ Jocelyne26: Awww thank you!! lol. I didn’t know so many people knew me on here. I’m really glad though! We have mad love and respect here on the CC transfer forum! lol.

dude congrats! so happy for you!

@ Cantabilen: Thanks man! Seriously, you more than helped me out when it came to the co-ops at UCB. I had applied for and received a bid for Cloyne, but I ended up recently allowing it to expire because I was thwarted by what I saw when I visited. I did, however, see your post about the co-ops and how they try to make themselves look more “slummy” on Cal Day and everything. I laughed when I read that! lol. Anyway, I may call up and apply to a different house…that, or I’ll just live in the units (preferably 3) over the summer.

Thank you for all the help and support throughout this process, man!

^ ahahha was it really that bad? If i get in, I’m doing coops… and I was planning to tough it out in cloynes to get points… but I’m not sure anymore.

Well let’s just say that there were people smoking weed in the hallways…don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against weed, but the freshman and their parents were terrified! lmao. My Mom wasn’t too keen on it either. There were 2 kids doing a drug deal for LSD, and the walls were covered with obscene, lewd phrases and graphic pictures. The kitchen was disgusting.

I may still try and tough it out in Cloyne also, but I’m not so sure if I can deal with it for a semester…or even a summer :/.

Okay, I think I’ve decided to not go to cloyne… lmao.

Unit 3? Yeah?? lol. That’s probably where I’ll end up if I get in/go to UCB.

eh I want some place on the north side of campus… and a lot of the coops are there, so i figured why not? now I’m just hoping I’ll be lucky enough to be placed into a coop house instead of an apartment.

@edbraga- You’ll definitely get a house. New people don’t get apartments unless you’re disabled or EXTREMELY lucky (ie- someone moves out and you walk into CO crying about how much you hate Cloyne 5 minutes later so they just give you that person’s spot). If you have Cloyne on your preference list there’s a very good chance that you’ll end up there, so if you don’t think you can do it, don’t list it! You have a decent chance of getting into many other houses.

EmilNic! I’m so late on the uptake, but I was SO happy when I saw the title of the thread! Dude! Now who cares what Berkeley says??? Ok, I know you still care  but now hopefully you’re less nervous about this Friday, right?

So I hope Cal doesn’t make the same mistake and put you through this hell!!! Good luck to you! I’ll be waiting here on Friday with all of you!

Congrats!! That gives me hope if i don’t get into berkeley :))

damn good job!

@CantabilenApathy,

Thanks for the heads up!

You’d expect someone like me who got rejected to be jealous, but seriously, good for you man! That’s one less sad person in the world right now.
If anything, it gives me a glimmer of hope. I’m going to call them up tomorrow and really state my case clearly.
You are so lucky. Next time you feel gloomy about something, cheer up and remember that you got into one of the best schools in the universe because you are a smart, persistent person with a lil luck on the side.
I just wish I had a little of your luck. :]

@ andrewlyzer: PM me man. Let’s challenge it. PM me your stats/major. We’ll try and figure out how you can get answers out of them. For real, hit me up! lol.

Congrats!!!im in the same boat as andrewlyzer, and have been working on my appeal letter 2 do you mind if i pm u 2 for some tips 2 oh chosen one?

CHOSEN ONE?! ■■■■■ that made my day man. haha I’m laughing hard.

Hit me up, my friend. Tell me your stats, major, and send me your appeal.

I’m dead serious when I say that I want everyone on here that got rejected that feels something went wrong to appeal. I believe that at least half of us can do it. Ya just gotta know what they look for in an appeal…
