Ucla saxon suites????

I was assigned Saxon Suites, i think my first choice originally. However, I heard its not social at all and somewhat depressing. Is this true, because I need interaction!!! Let me know because I am thinking about CARing putting Neve Plaza as my first choice based on the overwhelming positive reviews. Or is this a special pick that I got a suite because its so limited? Thanks

I got Saxon too, and I was cool with it until I read the same thing everywhere. I think I’m going to CAR for a plaza - seems like the best of both worlds to me.

whats CAR 10 char

change of accommodations request, or something like that. it’s on the myhousing page. I’ve heard what happens is like 2 weeks into the semester, they bring everyone who filed a CAR into a room and you try to find someone to switch with.

edit: the quarter* lol

hahahah thats hilarious. So we all go into a room and make a case on why another person should take the others rejection. Sounds like we are all stuck in our assigned place. Lets be real here.

“100 bucks for a double in de neve!” comes to mind… haha

but yeah, I think it’s a pretty long shot, best to just come to peace with wherever you’re assigned.

Actually… $100 for a double in De Neve sounds really good. Would you like cash or check lol?

Believe it or not, that’s honestly how the process works. You find someone you want to switch with, and then you do all the required paperwork…so yes, as funny as it might sound…lol. Except no bribing, haha.

@RheeL3 do you know when they do the meetup or whatever for the CARs? I’m probably not going to want to switch 2 weeks in once I’ve already met my roommates and stuff unless I absolutely hate the suites, you know?
