UCLA School of Nursing

It's the time of year for college apps and I'm at a loss. I really want to get into UCLA's School of Nursing and is applying as a freshman. However, there's a separate application process to that school aside from the regular apps I have to do for every other college I'm applying for. My question is, if I apply to the School of Nursing but gets rejected, will that also mean that I've been rejected from UCLA? Or can I still apply to the school and get into UCLA but just not their nursing school?

I'm most likely not going to get into the School of Nursing based on my lack of volunteer or work experience, which is what they seem to be looking for in freshman applicants, but I'm going to try it anyway. It's either hit or miss. I just don't want to miss and have that cost me my opportunity to attend UCLA. Please help me.

Thanks!

call and ask admissions

I went to an admission info session last Saturday, and they did say that if you don’t get in to the School of Nursing, you don’t get into UCLA.

However, as a first year, you can transfer to the School of Nursing as a UCLA student if that’s what you want to do. You’ll be considered with the incoming freshman applicants, and they only take 50 students each year.

Oh… thanks for answering! I guess I should go as undecided?
