Would it be better to basically scrap my year of college and start fresh at a CCC?

While you can transfer to a community college, you cannot pretend you did not attend the 4-year school. You will be required to report all college work attempted and submit all transcripts. There is a national clearinghouse for the information, so you will not be able to “hide” the fact you attended the 4-year school.</p>

<p>I do not believe UCLA would defer admission to winter. Perhaps you could backpack the following summer.</p>
