UCLA statistics major!!

Hi guys! I currently am attending CCC and applying for Fall 2016 transfer as a Statistics major!
The thing is that I recently changed my major from Electrical Engineering to Statistics. According to what assist.org says,
I meet all the requirement except for Statistics, which I am going to take next Spring semester. I am wondering if it’s okay that I finish the requirement by Spring 16. That’s because my major says “Statistics,” but I never actually took the class before obviously since I was doing engineering. My GPA is 3.85, a bit higher than average, but this concern would not let me sleep… I even met UCLA rep. to discuss about this. She told me I would be treated equally because I am in fact finishing all the requirement by Spring 16. But she kind of wondered why I would be doing statistics when I never took that class before. Hey guys, I am really nervous about this. Many people told me that’s fine because I will meet the requirement eventually, but I want to hear from you guys! Quick response will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

By the way, that’s just ONE class that I’m missing called statistics. I have finished all the other courses listed on the website.

It shouldn’t be a problem, but you should mention your changing majors somewhere in the application.

^^^ agree

I did the same thing. I’m applying under Stats and I was formerly Math/Econ. Don’t worry, the UCLA rep at my CC told me that all they look for is the Calculus series and Linear Algebra. I asked why the heck assist lists a few more classes and how in the world they don’t regard them. She told me that those are just extra and the more the better. Considering you’d have the C++ and the Linear, leaving stats for the spring shouldn’t be a problem.
