Does every applicant have a special student id number? does it mean that you are in their school?

Yes and no.

shit. that sucks.....

just an FYI, you can use that student ID# to register a username with UCLA's URSA. Last year a couple people figured out ahead of time whether or not they were accepted. They found out barely before the official release date though, and the glitch may have been fixed this year...

What was the glitch? Not that I'm going to check it obsessively or anything...

students could see their financial aid summaries, or in some cases would be able to submit their SIR

wow so what happened when some of them got rejected?

i tried to create an account with my id number and it wouldn't let me.

You can have a UCLA ID as a student or non-student. Everyone who is a student, employee, alumnus, applicant or anything to do with UCLA will have a UCLA ID.

Kevintech, I was trying to see if I could access my FA info even though they haven't officially posted their decisions.

heh ok. i was just answering your first post question. but FA and housing information have been hints of admission in the past. so goodluck...

I was finally able to make a UCLA account, but it says their site is down until sunday 6pm. i'm check it out this evening to see if i can see any hints.

I was able to look into my URSA account and see a bunch of options like view academic, financial, and personal records. However, my financial aid info isn't posted yet. I know i sound very anxious folks, but i'm curious to find out.

That's weird, no one else is.

I know for a fact that i'm not the only one. :P It's a long wait.

I'm anxious, but not THAT anxious. I don't want to do anything crazy to jeopardize my chances

Lackofsense: I made an account with UCSD and was able to check my application status through their website. I thought that we could do the same thing for UCLA. that is why i tried to look up my account.
