I don't know why we're all getting sucked into this bs...isn't it obvious that mojo is in serious need of some friends and a social life?? he's just trying to get a rise out of people. i mean everyone knows that a person who wastes all this time and energy bashing the school THEY CHOSE to attend, has some deeper issues. I'm not exaggerating by any means when I say that I've never met a single person who does not/did not absolutely LOVE his/her experience at UCLA. And everyone knows that UCLA is an amazing school. But even with that said, in the end, it's what YOU make of your college experience, not whether the school itself is a slot or two higher on some list. Geesh.

needs a social life? Homegurl, u are the one up on here writing to save your school too.

which still sux.

attacking people's number of posts is a sure way to make ucla look much better. good job!

The fact of the matter is that Amherst and Williams are better schools than UCLA is.

Even UCLA's BizEcon is not as good as Amhersts Economics department. Amherst and Williams are on par with the ivys for recruitng. This is comming from someone who goes to an ivy.

For all those who argue that UCLA is anything but amazing, it would be useful to look at the link below. This is a ranking by the National Research Council that lists the top 15 schools by the average quality of their graduate programs. UCLA is ranked sixth using this measure, which puts it above Harvard, Columbia, Penn, Princeton and Chicago.

2. UC Berkeley-7.46
3. Michigan-7.31
4. Cornell-6.56
5. Wisconsin-6.44
6. UCLA-6.32

thats sad man, wisconsin better than ucla? thats a new low for ucla. Who knew a school in the boonies was so good.

is this post serious?

The moderators have taken some action regarding the several UCLA threads of the last few days. Some have been deleted.

I have reluctantly closed two of the threads, which coincidentally generated the largest number of posts. There were some valuable posts in these threads, reflecting varying points of view. It is because of the valuable posts that I did not delete these threads entirely.
