UCLA supplemental questionnaire

Did anyone else get a supplemental from UCLA? I got one today.
What does this mean?

It means that you may be a borderline applicant, mentioned some disability/talent/leadership position or extenuating circumstances leading to low grades on your application or essay. They are just asking for clarification which means they are considering you for admission.

I also got this. 4.3 UC GPA, 1910 SAT, superb EC and work experience.

I have more than 1000 hours of community service. So i guess thats the reason i got one.
My other ECs are okay and i do have some work experience.
1950 SAT

Yes @jindaltanya I am on the same boat, though i believe it is more my work experience. Gosh, I;m so undecided on what to talk about- Volunteering or Work Experience. Wish you best of luck!

I know right and we don’t even have much time to think it through. I’m so confused.
If we do this right, it could be our ticket to enter UCLA.
Best of luck to you too!

I received one earlier today too
Okay GPA but definitely a bit below average for UCLA 3.7 uw/4.125 w
SAT 1: 720 CR/660 M/ 660 W ~ 2040
I’m low-income, first gen Asian-American. UCLA requested the talent and family situation prompt so they definitely noticed my infatuation for music. Personally, I think the personal statements were the strongest points of my application. Wrote about how my parents were the exact opposite of tiger parents and how I instilled a fervent enthusiasm for education on my own(really self-driven despite my <30k financial situation).
This gives me hope  I thought that my dream school would flat out reject me on the spot cuz of my poor Sophomore year. This is the first time in my life I’m looking forward to writing an essay lol

I got one too!
So I talked to an admissions expert about this because I had a ton of questions. I got mine because of my family situation/financial hardship that I mentioned in my personal statements. Because we only get 10 days to write it, they aren’t expecting a full on personal statement. I was told it’s better to give a straightforward explanation that elaborates on whichever reason you were given the supplement for.
Good luck guys
