Ucla supplemental questionnaire

I recently got the supplemental review a couple of days ago from UCLA. My stats are pretty low so im curious to how i even made it this far into the admissions. My questions are if anyone has made it after getting the supplemental questionnaire thing what it took to get them accepted? What are the chances of getting in with this compared if i didn’t receive this? And what are my chances of getting accepted? Stats: UC gpa- 3.4 weigthed SAT- 1050 and multiple AP passing scores. Also before anyone has anything negative to say about my gpa i didn’t get rejected yet and im still being considered so i must be doing something right. Anyways i wrote about living in my car and being homeless and struggling with an abusive dad i dont want to go into detail.

Best of luck to you for overcoming a difficult family situation.

Some information regarding the supplemental/Tips and FAQ’s:

Admission rate for students referred to Supplemental Review (Augmented Review)

-Please try to refrain from comparison, speculation and calculation of your chances. of advancing from supplemental review to admission. It is counterproductive.
-Your advancement will be based on your newly completed questionnaire response, COMBINED with the strength of your original application.
-Admissions never deduct points from an applicant; instead they look for valid reasons to advance a candidate.
-Do your very best and regardless of the outcome you can be satisfied in knowing that you gave it your best shot.
-Stay focused on school and keep those grades up!

That helps a lot thanks! I was so worried

@Gumbymom I recently learned from an admissions officer that UCLA is still reviewing applications. If they’re still evaluating applications, then how did they make all the decisions for the supplemental questionnaire candidates (like me). Not that I’m complaining, but it seems odd that they would give certain students a second chance without first looking over all of the other applications. As far as I know, there’s never been a second period in which they send out these questionnaires. What do you think?
