Drop in to talk to Teresa at room 5426. She's the honors counselor/manager.

I might know why you got confused though.

The honors students before our year (07-08 and past) slacked off, didn't even out their courses among the year, and took them ALL at the last minute in Spring quarter way after they were technically "in" TAP.

UCLA got ****ed off that they were taking advantage of the system and required the new TAP rule - "Finish at least 3 honors courses in the Fall quarter you apply to UCLA. That way when you apply, we know if you genuinely want to be in TAP, by finishing HALF of your honors requirements at the time you apply".

In my college, you don't have to take half of TAP reqs by the end of fall when you apply. and TAP reqs are slightly different by college, so there can be differences. I went to Mt.SAC and fullerton college.

whaaat?! where’d you find that? I took 2 honors classes fall semester and am taking 4 spring semester (transferring in 1 year). And when are you supposed to sign this TAP form…?

I had no idea Foothill had TAP too, I go to west valley. :P

I am curious to know if I have a chance on being accepted at UCLA, being TAP certified and IGETC completed by spring. I applied as a History Major. The Departments admit total GPA is 3.7, I have a 3.62?

:( so I know Communications is so impacted at UCLA that TAP doesn’t help you at all, but they really should put a similar warning out there for econ/biz econ. The only 3 TAP people from my school who were rejected were econ or biz econ majors… myself included.
