UCLA Teacher Education Program

Hello all, just had a couple quick questions. I applied to the UCLA Teacher Education program and wanted to know what you guys thought about my chances of getting in. I had a 3.15 GPA in communications from a state school. Over the past year I have been working at a charter school in the same area that the TEP operates in and have passed all three portions of the Social Science CSET. I'm kind of concerned that my GPA may be a bit low, but I think that my experience will help balance that out. What do you guys think?

I’d be interested to reading an answer to this as well, seeing as though I’m in a similar situation.

I think strong letters of rec and your experience will be a big plus if fact they will be greatly needed if you went to a Cal State. (There is a bit of bias against the CSU’s in considering UC grad admissions-it is wrong but it is there) Another option might be to take some extension courses at UCLA in education and do WELL if you do not get in to the TEP program. If you can pull A’s in extension courses then they will feel you have proven yourself at the UC level.
