Yesterday I recieved the email/invitation to the in-person interview from TFT’s Film and Television BA.
I am wondering what kind of question they’re going to ask and also if there are current TFT Film and Television students, what suggestion you guys can give us.
p.s. I am very shocked and excited and still don’t fully believe that I made it so far.
@byulor see that’s what I am confused about! Everyone seems to be stuck on “review.” I have not received an invitation for the interview, but seeing as how it isn’t the deciding factor for film applicants, I’m not worrying excessively. I spoke to someone in admissions today and they said that applicants are still being reviewed but we should be getting decisions back within the next few weeks. What did they e-mail invite say? Also, I can tell you a few things that I have heard about interviews IN THE PAST but I cannot say who they were for (i.e freshmen, transfers, graduate students, etc.) it’s vague information, but you might find it slightly useful.
@byulor I also received an invitation to interview in the next few weeks. I am wondering if it is similar to the freshman applications, where around 30 interviews are granted for around 30 total spots, or if it is different. It says on http://www.admission.ucla.edu/PROSPECT/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof16_mjr.htm#TFT that 601 students applied to the film program with a 3% acceptance rate, meaning 18 students were accepted. Does anybody have any insight? I have searched elsewhere on this website and most of the information seems to be geared towards freshman applications.
Congrats @byulor and @Transferguy112 ! I have not received an interview invite yet unfortunately, but I am keeping my hopes up. Or, trying to at least lol.
