<p>Do most of the people who are accepted into the theatre department at UCLA have grades, SAT scores etc. that are just as good as most of the other people who are NOT applying for the theatre school? Is it just as important? I have a strong academic record, but not nearly as good as most of the people who seem to apply to UCLA. Is this just as important if you are auditioning for the theatre school?</p>

<p>According to my roommate, who's a theater major in TFT, her academic record weighed just as much as the audition.</p>
<p>She explained in terms of getting into two schools. You first need to get into UCLA with your academics, and then wow the judges with your audition to get into TFT.</p>
