Ucla to Berkeley questions

Hello,
I’m a freshman at UCLA looking to transfer to Berkeley. I have enough units to transfer Fall ’08 due to taking 6 courses through UCLA summer session and from AP units. But since this is only my first quarter in college, I don’t have much to brag about in my extracurriculars and awards that isn’t from high school. Is it better to list impressive high school awards and activities or mediocre college ones?
My stats are pretty good I think. I’m a philosophy major in the honors college and my gpa is a 3.96. However, I’m only taking two classes this session. How bad will that look? And, if anybody knows, what is the average gpa for intercampus transfers to Berkeley? I know that it’s a lot higher than ccc transfers, but I can’t find any good information. So worried.

Thank you!

I'm not sure where you heard intercampus transfer rates were higher than CCC but they're not.

It goes in this order:

CCC > high school > intercampus (UC or not)

The thought process is that you are already getting an education (world class in your case) so they make room for everyone else. Hence, you drop to the end of the list.

Good luck though.

the OP said average gpa, not transfer rates, are higher for intercampus...and high school doesn't count as transfer..

I don't know about ucla to berkeley, but the average gpa for intercampus transfers to UCLA this fall was 3.52...so for berkeley I'd guess it would be a little higher.
