Anyone else anxiously waiting until the decisions come out..? I'm dying here..

yup, but i heard april 20th will probably be the day UCLA transfer decisions come out.

It’s brutal and I too have hear/read that we are over a month out. Need to find distraction…

Yeah, I haven’t slept well since I put my application in.lol. And now I’m starting to dream about me getting an acceptance letter. It’s such a let down when I wake up. But I think everyone is grinding their teeth waiting for a decision. lol

Additionally my gf is waiting to hear back from 8-9 law schools. Between her waiting and me waiting my life has become totally obsessed.

Did anyone apply to other UCs? I applied to SC, SD, SB, and Davis.
Only heard from SC of course…Monday will be SB.
SD is my fallback for UCLA. Wahhhh, why cant it be April 20 already :'(

@BruinDreamer
What’s ur gpa and major?

I’m in for holding hands :x
Just trying to keep distracted.

3.4 Anthro major! Got in ucsd and ucsc so far, waiting for ucsb today!

I applied to UCLA, Berkeley, and UCSD as well as USC and NYU and havent heard back from any one yet.

Bruin: did UCSD send you an email or something?

3.84 psych major here. Applied to UCLA, Berkeley. Human development for UC Davis.

It would be nice to get into UCLA. So far I’ve only heard from the two schools I really don’t want to have to go to. Coincidentally, these are the 2 schools my parents really want me to go to.

Accepted: UCR(Neuroscience), UCI(Aerospace Engineering)
GPA:3.52

I kinda want to go to UCLA just because EVERYONE these days wants to go but most can’t even get in AND the architecture of the campus is AMAZING.

walleats: My dad is an aerospace engineer. It is an awesome field to go into. I don’t want to assume you’re in it for the cash, but coincidentally, it is a money yielding profession. Is that your first choice or did you have another major in mind?

I want to be a doctor or an airline pilot. weird combination right? or a writer. I’m so confused!! lol. Actually I just like airplanes a lot and at the time of filling out applications, I really wanted to be an engineer. Now I’ve finally decided I would like to be a doctor. I looked for about a month for a major I would really like because I had looked into engineering and realized that the engineering classes really didn’t sound interesting at all to me. I finally looked hard enough and found something that sounded REALLY interesting all over so now I’m hoping to get into UCSD as a Cognitive Science major. I applied for Computer Science but I’ll change it if I get in!

This still leaves me with the option of switching to Cognitive Science if I get into UCLA as an Applied Mathematics major but I hear it’s quite difficult switching around once you get into UCLA as a transfer into one major and I would hate to have to major in something I don’t enjoy. I guess that’s the main thing keeping me away from wanting to go to UCLA.

On a brighter note, a friend of mine got into UCLA last year as a transfer from UCR into a History major with a 3.45 gpa. History is impacted at UCLA but the major I applied for (Applied Math) is not and I have a 3.52 gpa as a community college transfer. So that’s 3 advantages over him: gpa, major, and type of transfer but I guess it’s still a bit of a coin toss every time.

Been waiting on UCLA since I started college. Yet, it’s never felt this long.

@smileycanne

i feel you, seriously wish these next three weeks would just hurry the f up…

Heh, I thought “Late” April, meant like at the very end… the 28th or something.

Do they realize all these on one day?

release* and yeah they do haha

I heard some people are seeing a “UCLA Student ID Number” underneath the date (in the right-hand corner) of the Admissions Decision page (the one that just says Dear so-and-so, we have your application, decisions will be sent out late april etc).

Has any one else noticed this? Do only some people have one, or is one assigned to everyone?

PS. Not talking about the application ID number.

Thanks!

^yes, everyone gets a UCLA ID.
