@viviantong haha thanks! good luck to you too! lemme know when you hear back from them. I was going through the thread from last year and I feel like they give out results for similar majors around the same time.
I applied for engineering geology! Someone on here said it doesn t look good for engineering majors but I doubt mine is competitive? It isn’t even listed on the acceptance by major statistics page on the uc website 
I think they will send out a wave tomorrow (Friday), but that’s just my gut feeling.
@Princetonian9 Engineering geology is not part of the school of engineering. Therefore you still have a chance. Only HSSEAS majors won’t use the waitlist.

Got off Berkeley’s waitlist today at 3:30pm. Accepted to Interdisciplinary Studies. 3.2GPA.
Have not heard back from UCLA yet.

I’m certain too. I’m just really nervous. I was looking at the other threads and they were released around 5 am. I wanna wake up to a message telling me to check it. But I also don’t wanna wake up to no messages and come here and people get in. Lol

@viviantong Someone said earlier in the thread a couple days ago that he knows of 2 people who’ve been accepted off the waitlist. So I guess that means yes
UCLA works a little different from Berkeley. I see people who got accepted on the 3rd of June last year, and then 5days later on the 8th there were a couple of people who got off the waitlist as well. So let’s wait!

Admitted to UCSB today at 1:36pm for geography. 3.2GPA.
Admitted to 2/3 colleges applied to. Just waiting on UCLA now.
