UCLA Transfer Appeals 2019

I find it excessively weird.

Does anyone know if people from previous years were still accepted even towards the end of june/ beginning of July?

Last year, a student who had appealed was admitted on 29th June, while many others were notified of rejection.

if ucla doesnt work out where yall gonna go instead?

@slimreaper UCSB. And honestly, I may end up there even I do get in through an appeal. I’m very nervous about housing and considering UCLA doesn’t guarantee housing for appeal admits, that may be a deal breaker.

@slimreaper UCSD for me although I live by ucla I signed my housing application at UCSD so at this point if I get in off an appeal I’m not going to go since I’m not wasting all my money on housing at ucsd

I didn’t get an email about a decision, but checked my portal out of curiosity. Appeal rejected

Just checked as well my appeal was rejected.

@408nheartbreaks I’m so sorry to hear that! </3 UCLA missed out. You’ll do amazing wherever you go. Did you check this morning?
@UniCoIn Aww that sucks! I’m so sorry :’(

My appeal was rejected as well. No email. Off to UCSB! Good luck to everyone else.

Maybe UCLA for grad school

anyone else check? I’m too scared to

just checked my portal, mine is still being reviewed. Seems to be they are still reviewing some? So sorry to the ones who got rejected, just know that everything happens for a reason and you will move on in life for the better. <3

@pbbunny97 I checked mine too. It’s still under review. Although I feel like I’m gonna get rejected lol

@HarleyTheQuinn I feel like we would’ve gotten the rejection no?

Didn’t get an email either, but I checked my portal, rejected… I don’t know what to do anymore. How can I have a 4.0 with almost 2 decades of experience in the field my major is in (linguistics - I speak six languages, own a translation and transcription business, studied and lived abroad in three countries… am I wrong in thinking these are relevant to my major??) and get rejected by every single school? I even got rejected by Riverside last year (plus UCSD + UCLA- I only re-applied to UCLA this year) Like, I would get it if I were in a highly saturated field but… my major has an almost 80% acceptance rate. When I called UCLA admissions, they said I was rejected due to a mistake on their part… it’s odd. At what point do we stop accepting the generic “we had too many qualified applicants” excuse and start asking if they’re even looking at our applications as they claim to be?

@HarleyTheQuinn Yeah I checked this morning. UCLA was my number 1 but I’m going to USC now so I guess it’s not too bad. Hopefully you get in tho, best of luck!!

Rejected too, good luck and bye guys!

I’m so sorry to all of you who are being rejected! I really wish UCLA accepted everyone, but ofc it’s not realistic. ?
@Ityelisabeth Good luck to you too and farewell! <3

Omg I just logged in to see all these rejection posts! I’m sorry and I wish you all good luck to wherever you go ? Mine is still under review. I don’t know if they’re releasing rejections all at once or are sending it on a rolling basis

Did anyone hear back today? Still under review here…
