UCLA Transfer - CCCP

Hello everyone!

Still a bit new here and looking to receive the best help I could get.

Anyway, I just got accepted into UCLA’s CCCP scholar program (Classic SITE). How much does this help my chances of getting admitted to the school itself when I apply for Fall of 2019 later this November?

To provide some stats:
-Psych major
-3.96 GPA
-TAP (completed next Spring)
-IGETC (completed next Spring)
-EC’s consist of training kids in sports, interning at Alzheimer’s facilities and taking care of dementia patients, multiple Dean’s List, (more to come).

I should add that Chemistry is my last major requirement to be completed—planned for next Spring. (I am taking Stats this Fall and I do not want to take it together for sustainment purposes.)

Hey @8CLAP4SUP - I know this is a bit late but I hope you chose to attend CCCP, I attended last summer and will be continuing this year, the resources they provide are super helpful and the program is enjoyable but the most valuable thing they offer is community, so many of the people in my cohort are like family now and I am so glad I chose to attend. I’d suggest getting really involved and committing to the program and all that it offers, take what they give you and get involved in making positive change on your CC campus. With your stats and a real commitment to CCCP I think you will get in to any UC you choose. Staying on campus at UCLA helped myself and many others in my cohort to decide whether or not it was the campus for us, so that is an added benefit. At our culmination ceremony earlier this year they read off which school we would be going to and the vast majority of individuals completing the program were transferring to UCB or UCLA, with a few choosing other UC’s or privates.
