UCLA transfer CHANCE!! (:

I am a UCLA 2012 transfer applicant!
I applied as an English major and my gpa right now is 3.69
I am currently attending Whittier College (private 4 year institution)
I finished the IGECT even though my school doesn't offer such a program, but I took all the courses they expect you to finish in the required areas!

I am quite scared of the results because all the information I could find out UCLA transfer applicants were only for CC applicants.

PLEASE HELP CHANC ME AND PLEASE DO SHARE ANYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT TRANSFERRING TO UCLA from a private institution.

The admit rate from 4 year schools in California (non-uc) to UCLA is ~9%. Those that did get in had around 3.67 GPA.

I don’t really know if you’ll enjoy looking at this, but here it is anyway (your school didn’t do so hot last year, but I don’t really know the stats of those that applied):

Just because you completed the classes on the IGETC worksheet doesn’t mean that you are IGETC certified. Your current school needs to complete a form for that and if Whittier College doesn’t have IGETC, then I don’t believe you will technically have completed it. I could be wrong, but I would look into that…or just wait and see in a couple weeks.
