UCLA Transfer--Change Major to Communication Studies?

Most likely a really dumb question but I'm just curious...it was explicitly stated on UCLA's site & on the Admissions Decisions form that it's totally out of the question to change majors into the BusinessEcon, PolySci, Life Sciences, and Sociology majors but did not mention Communications. Is there a chance that I can change my major to Communication Studies or is it completely out of reach as well?

Thanks

Comm. Stud. is either the most difficult or second most difficult major to get into for transfer students. If you don’t have the prereqs, GPA, or a good enough reason to switch to it, chances are they will won’t let you do it. Additionally, the adcoms for Comm. Stud. are department faculty, not the traditional adcoms.

for majors like psychology, or any other majors in Letters and science, does the traditional adcom read psych major applicants?

^I can’t speak to that. I only know about Comm. Stud. because I researched the heck out of it before choosing it as my major. I remember reading on their website that the Comm. Stud. faculty personally serves as the adcoms. I’ll try to look for it.
