UCLA Transfer decisions out April 19th!

Major yesterday, blank bar today, good sign? I’m addicted to these tricks lol…

@ineedadegree I’m an intercampus transfer from UCSC, so hopefully they do not expect me to go to CC to take the courses, especially since the CC is on a semester system and we’re on quarter system. Cabrillo College, the closest cc, is literally 10.3 miles away according to google maps LOL.

@bsfswisher I am positive you are fine!!

I was told the same thing for UCSB; that they really like for your pre reqs to be done especially English/math and that you are at a disadvantage if you don’t. I still got into SB with my math IP and the other pre reqs ip mentioned earlier. But SB isn’t nearly as competitive as UCLA so idk. Just saying there’s still hope guys!

@alevy123

No it still says unknown. However it said summer sessions student before so i’m thinking tomorrow is when it will be blank? that’s the trend i see anyway.

@mayo on tuesday, the major was shown, and today it turns out to be blank and on friday it iwll changed into admitted.

So possible good news to those who can see their financial aid: called financial aid office to see why they hadn’t received my FAFSA and the girl was like “have you been accepted?” and I was like “well I don’t know” she said something along the lines of them not needing to request the FAFSA unless your admitted. So she said wait for the letter then call back.

^^ Thank you sooo much for sharing that!!

Hey, please do not hang on this old topic regarding myucla stuff and FA check. continuously, the thread is filled up with just the same arguing about these boring sutff. You are mostly admitted as you can see them as the previous year guys did.

So I did the URSA trick and it updated my Financial Aid page today, but under “Financial Aid File Status” It says “Incomplete” in red letters. Is anyone else getting the same thing or something different?

I get the same thing, but I think it’s because my parents had not filed taxes yet at time of application so I had to use last year’s taxes instead.

@SoggyWaffles if it show your financial status no matter it says incomplete or completed, you are find

Thank you! OMG I’m so freaking excited for Friday! I haven’t been paying attention in any of my classes for the last 2 weeks because of this lol. 2 more days!!! IDK if I can handle a Cal rejection AND a UCLA rejection on the same day so I really hope this URSA thing is accurate haha

Our records indicate that you do not have access to use URSA at this time…

is this a bad sign?!

Everyone that applied should have access to URSA, it just depends on what it says once you are logged on. Look up the Trick thread and follow the steps on page 1

I am seeing my Financial Aid:

Summary 2013-2014 Academic Year
Housing Status: On-Campus
Financial Aid File Status: Incomplete
Financial Aid Notification (FAN): Not Available

Then all the money estimates.

i tried and for some reason it wont let me in which makes me super nervous. but i def did apply because i double checked my UC app.

@zomgrad yeah mine says the exact same thing, apparently that means your in. I guess they update the “Incomplete” part once decisions go out

For UCR and UCI incomplete meant you still had to submit your parents tax info on FAFSA (using the IRS tax retrieval tool) once I updated that it went to “complete” - not sure if its the same for LA

@semifinal

lol you’re completely right. We will all know soon enough and all of these tricks, although presumably give us a hint of hope, are just adding to the anxiety and causing a lot of neuroticism. I just want to put my changes on record here so that this years, and next years group of neurotic hopefuls can find some level of “comfort” (I use this term loosely) in the amount of people that have similar changes. Sorry for the semi-long post, back to math I go.
